Boy Golden will release Best of Our Possible Lives (Deluxe) on Oct. 16 through Six Shooter Records, adding five recordings to the album released in February. The new edition arrives ahead of a November Canadian tour that includes a Banff appearance and three Winnipeg performances.

The original Best of Our Possible Lives was released Feb. 13 with 12 tracks. The deluxe edition increases that total to 17, adding “Fell in Love (Couldn’t Get Out)”, “Pity” and acoustic versions of “Suffer”, “Meadowsweet” and “New Orleans”. An acoustic recording of “Suffer” was released separately in May.

“Pity” arrived Sept. 10, with Austin Parachoniak on guitar and drums and FONTINE providing backing vocals. In the release announcement, Boy Golden discussed the gap between expectations of everyday life and the exhaustion that can come with work. Six Shooter describes the recording as featuring doubled 12-string guitars and fretless bass. Robbie Lackritz produced the original album, with Pino Palladino, Abe Rounds, Gabe Noel and Joseph Shabason among its credited musicians.

The tour begins in Penticton on Nov. 7 and Vancouver on Nov. 8, followed by Edmonton on Nov. 10 and 11 and Calgary on Nov. 12 and 13. Boy Golden’s current tour schedule also lists Nov. 14 at One Weekend Only in Banff, followed by Saskatoon on Nov. 16, Montreal on Nov. 19 and Toronto on Nov. 20.

The final scheduled Canadian dates are at Winnipeg’s Park Theatre on Nov. 24, 25 and 26. Six Shooter’s September tour announcement listed the latter two shows; the Nov. 24 performance has since been added. Fans should consult the artist or venues for ticketing and any subsequent changes.
