Jared Keeso’s next Crave comedy, I Kill the Bear, will premiere Nov. 6, with two episodes released each Friday over three weeks. Bell Media announced the date Oct. 6 alongside a trailer and new cast details for the six-part series, which reunites Keeso with New Metric Media, the production company behind Letterkenny and Shoresy.

The half-hour comedy follows the Thibaults, a fourth-generation Franco-Ontarian family whose livelihood involves handling bears for film productions. After a century in the business, the family has decided that its current film will be its last. Bell describes the Thibaults as good-natured people who have spent much of their lives isolated in the bush, leaving them unfamiliar with the Hollywood world they encounter through their work.

Keeso, former mixed martial arts champion Georges St-Pierre, Sarah-Maude Beauchesne and Jonathan Torrens play members of the Thibault family. They are joined by an ensemble that includes Adrian Holmes, Kristin Kreuk, Kids in the Hall alumnus Scott Thompson, Letterkenny actor Dylan Playfair, Shoresy cast members Eliana Jones and Frederick Roy, Megha Sandhu and Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger.

Bell has also announced a sizeable guest cast, including Jann Arden, Brent Butt, Kim Coates, Tricia Helfer, Michelle Mylett, Melanie Scrofano, George Stroumboulopoulos, Hannah Simone and others. The announcement identifies performers without detailing every character, so the relationships between much of the wider ensemble and the Thibaults remain to be seen.

Keeso created and wrote the series and serves as an executive producer and star. He shares the story credit with producer Trevor Risk. Dan Skene and Sean Skene direct and executive produce, while New Metric’s Mark Montefiore and Kara Haflidson are executive producers. Max Wolfond is supervising producer for the company.

I Kill the Bear is produced by New Metric Media in association with Play Fun Games and in partnership with Crave, with participation from the Rogers Fund and Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation. Bell previously announced that production was underway in Sudbury, Ontario, in October 2025. New Metric Media is handling international distribution.

The series continues Keeso’s working relationship with Crave and New Metric. In December 2023, Bell announced an exclusive overall content deal for 49 new episodes of Keeso-created programming, including new series and projects connected to the Letterkenny universe. I Kill the Bear introduces a separate family and premise, with the Franco-Ontarian Thibaults at the centre.

The first two episodes arrive on Crave on Friday, Nov. 6. Two more follow Nov. 13, with the final pair scheduled for Nov. 20, according to the weekly release pattern announced by Bell.
