Prime Video will release all six episodes of Hometown Giants in Canada on Oct. 16, 2026, bringing cameras inside the Vancouver Giants for a season-long look at the Western Hockey League club. The Canadian docuseries follows the team through the 2025–26 season, with access to hockey operations, ownership and players trying to turn major junior hockey into professional careers.
Amazon says the series follows the Giants through trades, injuries, the pressure around the trade deadline and a 15-day road trip. It also follows teenage players living away from home and finishing high school while pursuing NHL careers. That gives the series room to follow the organization making roster decisions and the players living with those decisions.
What is Hometown Giants about?
Hometown Giants is built around one complete Giants season. Amazon’s current description says the six episodes track the 2025–26 campaign across games, travel and front-office decisions, while also spending time on the demands facing players away from the rink. Across the six episodes, the story moves between the team’s operations and the lives of players trying to advance in hockey.
Who appears in Hometown Giants?
Michael Bublé and Drew Scott are both co-owners of the Vancouver Giants and appear in Hometown Giants as part of the ownership group. The Giants’ own ownership information independently lists both men as co-owners. Amazon’s series material presents them as participants in the season being documented rather than as the sole focus of the series.
Amazon specifically names Ryan Lin and Torretto Marrelli among the players featured, while the wider roster is followed through injuries, travel and roster decisions. The players’ school lives and professional ambitions are included alongside the hockey.
Who made Hometown Giants?
Amazon’s corrected Canadian announcement says Hometown Giants was commissioned by Amazon MGM Studios and produced by Scott Brothers Entertainment. Scott Brothers Entertainment’s current team information identifies Drew Scott and Jonathan Scott as co-founders and executive producers of the company, with Josie Crimi serving as president.
Where can Canadians watch Hometown Giants?
All six episodes are scheduled to arrive on Prime Video in Canada on Oct. 16. Amazon’s current materials present the six episodes as arriving together, with no weekly rollout announced. The complete six-part series will be available on Prime Video in Canada from launch day.
Royal Winnipeg Ballet opens its 2026–27 mainstage season at Winnipeg’s Centennial Concert Hall on Oct. 8 with Stravinsky Stories, a double bill that brings Alexei Ratmansky’s The Fairy’s Kiss to the company alongside the world premiere of a new Firebird by choreographer Houston Thomas.
